Research Engineer
I coordinated a project investigating four photo absorbers in order to optimize the performance of a photopolymerizable resin. I quantified the curing capacities of resin formulations through spot testing on SLA 3D printers and analyzation with mathematical models. The goal was use the optimized resin to 3D print microfluidic artificial lungs.

Biomedical Design Team Member
On this cross functional team of clinicians and engineers, we engineered a medical device intended to replace a speculum in pap smears and pelvic exams by facilitating simultaneous cell sampling and endoscopic imaging. A large portion of this project involved ensuring patient and caregiver comfort. To support this, I designed detailed 3D CAD models in Fusion 360 of an ergonomic handle and device body shape. I also led our validation team in performing usability testing with University of Michigan gynecologists.
