About Sara Kate Dyson

As a student at the University of Florida, I have had the opportunity to work and expand my interests in many fields. I am currently a double major in journalism with a specialization in sports and media and sport management. I served as a staff writer and now as a sports coordinator and editor for ESPN Gainesville. I also serve as a sportswriter for The Independent Florida Alligator, covering baseball, swimming and diving and cross country. I have worked in sport management positions with the University Athletic Association and the Department of Recreational Sports at UF. In these positions, I have garnered many skills including writing, communications, management and guest relations. I have extensive knowledge of sports and am working toward a career in event management, community relations or communications in sports.
