I am an Exec Board member and integral to the leadership team which has consistently grown the Pan Macmillan business and its reputation over the last decade. I am responsible for the UK group's communications teams and strategy, incorporating marketing, publicity, digital, consumer insights, brand development and corporate communications. I have worked on.

As an Exec Board member I envisioned, developed and delivered the company's digital strategy and growth plans and built its publishing programme (including ebooks, apps and audio); led the creation of Pan's first direct to consumer web platform and the associated applications, processes and tools to deliver a consumer-first, mobile-enabled space for.

I formulated the company's first consumer ebook and digital product strategy, was the architect of the company's original digital publishing programme and designed, negotiated and delivered the end to end publishing processes, partnerships, suppliers, legal, rights, licensing, resourcing and operational frameworks to enable this.

I led the M&A function for the academic division of Macmillan, assessing potential acquisitions and leading bids for major new publishing contracts. Under my leadership Palgrave Macmillan won a major contract to take on all publishing for the ONS, winning this away from their longstanding publishing partners at the time.

I led the academic publishing division incorporating reference and monograph publishing in the humanities and social sciences, responsible for the divisional growth strategy, the editorial teams and commissioning and delivering on the P&L. I led the transformation to digital delivery and subscription models for our major print reference works and later.

I was responsible for all aspects of the project to take the leading scientific journal Nature and its sister publications from a pure print business model to online delivery, incorporating everything from workflow change to UI design and new content to the introduction of digital ssubscription models.

I led and managed this in-house CD-ROM publishing start up, commissioning, creating, marketing and selling interactive content for both children and adults largely via license.
