Write marketing copy and provide editing feedback for web, social, email, and print campaigns. Create and review scripts and advertisements for web, radio, and television. Collaborate with designers to develop creative assets. Work closely with project managers and stakeholders across the country.

Created the Super Cool Scientists books celebrating today’s diverse women in STEM. Led a successful, international crowdfunding campaign to publish the first book. Currently manage and maintain book sales, website, social media, and event bookings.

Sourced candidates and reviewed applications for a variety of positions from product owners to graphic designers to developers using LinkedIn Recruiter during a six-month contract. Focused on industries including government, non-profit, and technology start-ups. Managed iCIMS applicant tracking system (ATS). Worked closely with fully remote team of interviewers and the CEO.

Oversaw a dozen programs supporting youth and educators in the arts, sciences, and math including a Girls in Science Summer Camp, a K-8 Math Institute that trained 200+ teachers, and an afterschool program for 70+ elementary school students each semester. Led and motivated a team of core staff, instructors, and college students. Recruited specialized instructors as needed. Raised over $4 million in grants. Managed the closure of the department including transitioning several programs to partner institutions, donating supplies and equipment to local youth organizations, and helping the team find new positions.

Started with the EPSCoR office in May 2008 as the Outreach Assistant and quickly advanced to Outreach + Communications Coordinator and then Project Administrator. Oversaw a $20 million budget with 9 partner colleges. Created and served as editor for the program newsmagazine distributed nationwide. Collaborated with 100+ researchers statewide. Worked with education staff to offer summer undergraduate research experiences and outreach to K-12 students. Planned large scale events including research conferences and site visits by the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the National Science Foundation.
