I graduated from BYU-Hawaii with a BSW. As a case manager I assist students from all walks of life with their special needs and help them reach their set goals each semester. I provide counseling for students who need help dealing with stresses, communication, and relationship. While working with students, I also work closely with their instructors to provide and collect data on students performance. I spend most of my time meeting and counseling students. Additionally, I run a relationship group with BYUH Counseling Center to help both students and community members strengthen their daily connections and build good relationship with others. Moreover, I also run a group raising awareness on Women Abuse, which I send out flyers, website announcement, email invitation. I go out door to door to invite people to our forum and also set up meeting one on one to help people learn the sign of abusive behavior and how to prevent themselves from being abused. Beside helping students with special needs and community members, I also run a Young Mother Father Group that offer efficient skills to better raise their children and understand the needs of their kids. On top of that, I have a Children and Me Time group which allow both parents and children participate in variety of activities to help them learn more about their children and provide great skills to deal with children. Overall, I enjoy my BSW intern as Case manager for I believe that the experience I have will provide me a great employment opportunities in the near future. I am ready to go out and help people with my social work skills. I am best at what I am doing and I am born to serve.
