The RMA group is responsible for processing warranty claims, performing factory repairs and testing, and maintaining a robust spares inventory.As a team lead, I set the priorities for my team and implement solutions to improve efficiency. Priorities are calculated based on resource availability and customer support needs. This also includes improving test stands, developing standard routing, and projecting inventory supply and demand.

Define and implement EPC's Return Materials Authorization (RMA) process. Lead the Customer Success Team department's ERP system transition.Oversee and manage the RMA process through scheduling, monitoring throughput, and inventory management.Interface with all departments in the company to achieve customer success. Support factory production team and field technical team.Investigate problems that arise during operation, troubleshoot the root cause, and correct all issues with urgency to restore site operation.

The most exciting aspect of being a Teaching Assistant for the MAE Senior Project Design course is walking alongside the student teams and learning with them. Aside for organizing the course logistics, I attend weekly project meetings with teams and MAE staff, where we discuss project development and engineering design considerations. I also review the final reports, website, and formal presentations, giving feedback on professionalism, clarity of presentation, and clear communication of designs.

Alongside 2 mentors and 1 intern partner, I investigated serviceability of the Solar Mobile Turbomachinery 60 (SMT60) - Solar's newest addition to its product line bringing power to remote areas around the world. I learned engineering design methods and techniques, like modeling in Creo Parametric, iterative design solutions, and cross-disciplinary team collaboration. I also gained an industry-level understanding of safety standards and design for manufacturing. We were able to propose final solutions that would heighten the safety of field service representatives and standardize maintenance procedures.

Through the UCSD Partners At Learning (PAL) program, I was placed at Chollas Mead Elementary School to tutor 4th and 5th grade students in math, English, and science. Some of my highlights include:- Identified student’s strong and weaker areas and adjusted to their learning style.- Obtained understanding of general pedagogy and common core curriculum.- Initiated and organized a robotics outreach event for 20 students to introduce and spark interest in the field of engineering.

Drive train alignment calculations are required on all Solar packages. The present alignment tool could not input new data easily, was sensitive to nuisances that caused it to break easily, and was then outdated. Our project focused on building a new Excel VBA tool to optimize the alignment calculations, including increased complexity to handle any drivetrain arrangement, improved data management using OOP, and improving the user interface. Overall, we were able to improve the reliability, quality, maintainability, and accessibility of the alignment calculation tool.

UC San Diego COSMOS is a summer program where high school students in CA may apply to participate in one of 12 STEM-oriented clusters. I worked as the teaching assistant for the cluster Engineering Design and Control of Kinematic Sculptures. My role pertains to assisting the lead faculty in the development of academic course content, creating and testing lab experiences, and implementing them in the program. Working with 3 professors, 1 high school teacher, and 2 other teaching assistants, we taught the students how to use CAD softwares (ie. Inventor and AutoCAD), simulation packages (ie. Working Model 2D), and coding platforms (ie. RobotC). The program consisted of two main projects: designing and fabrication a pendulum clock, and building a large kinetic sculpture with automated controls.

I worked in the Dean's Administrative department of Jacobs School of Engineering. I participated in committees for events such as the Contextual Robotics Forum and Research Expo (linked below). Some tasks I completed regularly were: plan meetings, manage financial purchases, analyze financial activity, analyze data, help calendar events in consideration to the other departments, and assist the registration process. For this job, I mainly used Microsoft programs, such as Word and Excel, as well as their Google equivalent, and had developed a strong knowledge of how to efficiently utilize their features. When outside of the office, I interacted with other departments of UC San Diego campus, staff/faculty, and engineering graduate students.
