Saranjan Sathiyadurai, better known as S.J. Saran has had a life long passion for films and filmmaking. At the tender age of just 9 his interest was awakened after seeing Terminator 2 and Independence Day and having been thus inspired, cinema has informed much of his life and career.Born in Sri Lanka, S.J. Saran is a British national and has spent most of his life in England. After recognising the importance of budgets in all forms of filmmaking, Saran studied and gained a BA Honours Degree in accounting and finance, from Middlesex University in north London. While studying he took on a number of part-time jobs including, a sales person at PC World and a passenger service agent at Stansted Airport, to supplement his income, but the lure of cinema was always there and after the Degree, a Diploma in practical filmmaking from Met Film school in London followed as did his first film 'Love Delusion'.Saran is particularly interested in highly technical films, particularly action adventure films which usually require the highest levels of technical accomplishment. The films of Steven Spielberg, James Cameron, Michael Bay and M Night Shyamalan are of particular interest. He believes it's no surprise that action adventure and Sci-fi are at the cutting edge of cinema and are the genera's best suited to the latest innovations such 3D technology.
