Summer term of co-op internship. Designed and executed a response surface optimization DOE on Oreo creme processes (24 runs, 5 factors, 3 levels). Authored a technical report and dynamic prediction tool (html + Excel worksheet) that summarizes the recommended process settings to optimally reduce creme variation, based on pilot plant trials. Developed scaled-up run rules for supervisors to correct out-of-spec creme in production bakeries. Communicated results in three mediums: short presentation with Q&A, open poster discussion, and focus meeting with Oreo leadership.
