I’ve found that I thrive in small-to-medium size companies who are experiencing growth and making a meaningful contribution to the world; first at Credo Reference, and now at NimblyWise. I like to wear a lot of different hats and I’m adept at juggling a lot of balls, without letting many, if any, drop. In fact, from an early age, I was coined as the “responsible one” by many who knew me well. That stuck with me. I started my career as a consultant with a top consulting firm. I gained polish and professionalism from Accenture and this role was instrumental in setting me on a strong professional path. After my time at Accenture, I chose to pursue a master’s degree in education. I studied how people learn. I can break things down in a way that's clear to people - setting clear expectations, anticipating questions and taking time to communicate directly to the audience. All of my roles have been about maintaining high standards. Sometimes it is implementing new processes and systems and oftentimes it is hiring people and building a culture where they can do their very best work. I watch our CEO lead and I know it's possible to care about results and people at the same time. He is the kind of leader that I thrive under.Our CEO relies on me to maintain a pulse on all aspects of the business, track corporate priorities, ensure everyone is staying focused on the right areas, and drive important cultural and operational improvements to completion. I’m super organized. And I can be relentless in getting things done well and on time. I manage many different things and I go deep to really make sure the ideas are tied to the ground and implemented properly. I operate with a healthy sense of urgency, but I won’t rush decision making. I sort things out and solve problems in a calm, thorough and thoughtful way. I’m emotionally intelligent and use this ability to manage my own reactions, as well as to read and anticipate the reactions of others. It’s served me well in all my roles.I'm competitive. I like being part of a winning team and having a big impact. After learning how to swim as an adult, overcoming my fear of open water, and much training, practice and persistence, I competed in multiple triathlons, placing in the top 10% of women who participated.I love to connect with like-minded professionals who understand that balancing people with profits ultimately makes a business better.
