    About Copperfield'sIt began as a vision for a truly full-service community-based bookstore by owners Paul Jaffe and Barney Brown. They purchased Sebastopol’s Myst Bookstore in June of 1981 and changed the name to Copperfield’s Books. From that 725 square foot storefront, Copperfield’s began to attract booklovers from all over Sonoma County. By 1983, the Sebastopol store had moved to its present location in the old Analy Five & Dime building and also opened a second store in Montgomery Village, Santa Rosa. Along with the stores in Sebastopol and Santa Rosa, Copperfield’s now has locations in Petaluma, Napa, Calistoga and Healdsburg. In 2013 Copperfield's expanded into Marin County with the opening of our San Rafael store ands to be opened, Novato store.
