The responsibilities for this position included taking soil and sludge samples for the beneficial use of biosolids in an agriculture setting. A large part of this position included writing permits for county health departments and the EPA approval as well as attending county meetings to address concerned citizens regarding biosolid application.

Assisted in research regarding deficit irrigation of row crops (sunflowers and corn). This position involved data collection, entry, analysis and summary. This position involved field work, greenhouse work, lab work and office work.

I assisted in canopy management, research and general vineyard work. I also assisted in the racking and bottling of wines. I learned the basics of a viticulture operation including irrigation, the training of suckers, canopy management and netting. I also gained valuable experience in racking, bottling and an introduction into the evaluation of wines.

Internship work dealing with planting, evaluating and researching flower and herb cultivars as well as seed testing, plant rouging and warehouse work.
