As of November 2023, I started a new position as Head of Catastrophe Analytics for Howden Tiger! Howden Tiger is a leading risk, capital, and strategic advisor providing a holistic approach to reinsurance strategy. The catastrophe analytics team advises insurance companies on catastrophe risk management, helping them monitor, manage, and better understand exposure accumulations through the use of tools such as catastrophe models. We also support insurers in transferring risk by assisting in reinsurance structure design, pricing, and general placement support. I started my career in catastrophe modeling in 2000 and haven’t had a chance to catch my breath since! This field continues to evolve and I’ve had opportunities to work with property insurers of all sizes on a variety of initiatives over the years.
