In retail, we say that the only constant is change. Seeing the change before it comes, is what intrigues me the most. Based in Florence, Italy, I work with Euromonitor as In-Country Analyst, researching non-food industries such as Home & Garden, Toys & Games, Tissue & Hygiene, Consumer Electronics, Consumer Appliances. My mission is to understand and spot consumers’ changing attitudes and evolution, so as to support retailers and manufacturers in defining their strategies and get prepared for a new environment. To do this, I conduct primary and secondary research, visit shows and exhibitions, participate to webinars, trainings and events to broaden my perspectives. My areas of interest cover topics that are related to above industries, but also to adjacent and non-adjacent fields that allow me to see more clearly where the world and people are going. I have a background in international Tourism first and then in Retail, as I previously worked for Walmart Global Procurement supporting buying teams in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, UK and Brasil in trading with Europe and China. This allowed me to travel the world, and get to know friends and colleagues that I am grateful for still being around today. I like mentoring, and appreciate sharing views and work/study with younger folks. My mentees are also my mentors. I ask a lot of questions, as I have been taught that “The most stupid question is the one that you didn’t ask”. And I have fun doing it.
