This tunnel is a 5-mile tunnel that will collect and transport sewage from 22 outfalls of combined sewer overflows to the sewage treatment plant. It is expected to reduce combined sewer overflows into the three area rivers by 90 percent, a reduction of 850 billion gallons on average a year, putting the city of Fort Wayne into compliance with federal mandates. The tunnel has a life expectancy of 100 years and costs over $188 million. It is the largest public-works project in Fort Wayne's history.Manage office staff and assist in their development and retention through coaching and mentoring.
