Sara is a seasoned attorney and trusted business advisor known for her action-based, results-oriented, pragmatic approach.In January 2022, Sara stepped into the role of Deputy General Counsel for American AgCredit, an agricultural lender and customer-owned cooperative in the Farm Credit System. Prior to joining American AgCredit, Sara was a partner in the law firm Chapman Spingola LLP, a top-tier boutique business law firm representing a diverse array of corporations, financial institutions and individuals in complex business disputes and transactions. Sara led the firm's employment law counseling and litigation practice group and played an integral role in the firm’s growth from four to twenty attorneys from 2009 through 2021. Sara is an active leader in the legal profession, having served on the Executive Committee of the Chicago-Lincoln Chapter of the American Inns of Court for more than ten years, and as a committee member of Chicago Women in Intellectual Property Law. Sara is also a long-time member of the Board of Directors of Porchlight Music Theatre. Sara is an alumna of Florida State University (B.A., Creative Writing), Fordham University (M.S.T. in Education), and Chicago-Kent College of Law (J.D.).
