-Explored scientific literature to familiarize myself with traditional coarse graining methods for biological systems -Wrote python script for simplified Brownian motion; to understand how trajectory data is generated by simulations, or in this case, the user to test new course graining method’s potential -Tested mentor’s data-based technique, on a 1D toy model; a Statistical mechanical approach to write out the system potential energy function; as a simple linear combination of user-defined functions. -Wrote weekly progress reports displaying understanding of material and to monitor progress Participated in poster presentation held at the end of the program
