Currently working as an adjunct instructor for Colorado Mesa University. Retired from my position as the Communicatikns and Engagement Director for the City of Grand Junction. For 6 years I served as the PIO/Communications Manager for the City of Wheat Ridge and the Wheat Ridge Police Department in Colorado. I'm also serving as an adjunct professor for Southern New Hampshire University and teach a Public Information Officer Introductory class for law enforcement for Police Technical. Prior, I served as an adjunct instructor for Arapahoe Community College teaching Crisis Communications, for Fort Lewis College in Durango teaching an online Social Media Class for the School of Business/Marketing Department and for Metropolitan State University of Denver teaching Mass and Business Communications. I love mentoring younger professionals interested in a career in communications/public relations.I have a Master's degree in Communications from Colorado State University, am a graduate of FEMA's Advanced PIO program and the FBI LEEDA Master's of PIO course. I am an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and in 2016 was accepted into the prestigious PRSA College of Fellows.
