Postdoctoral Research FellowAcademia Sinica, Taiwan Aug 2016 - Feb 2019Taipei City, TaiwanBeing an enthusiastic and versatile researcher, I have furthered my research experience in RNA biology during my postdoctoral tenure. Along the journey, I have actively participated in the ongoing projects, grasped many essential molecular techniques and have formed a good rapport with team members. Briefly, I have engaged in a study to establish the relationship between mRNA splicing factors and DNA damage response in cancer cell lines as well as the role of mRNA splicing factors in m6A methylation. We have characterized RNA binding Protein (RBM) role in DNA damage after radiation and subsequent alteration in the expression of DNA damage response (DDR) factor. Moreover, we have also characterized that RBM is colocalized with m6A and influences m6a modulation level of RNA in vivo. In addition, I have also engaged in a project, to characterize RBM role in megakaryotic differentiation. This includes investigating the role of RBM in primary cultures and megakaryotic cell lines (MEG-01 and K562). Besides that, I have also helped the research assistants and students involved in the related projects to design and troubleshoot experiments.
