Took a deliberate break from full time corporate career to concentrate on my doctoral research thesis and attaining some personal fitness goals. With the guidance of my research advisory committee, I have identified a research problem and crafted a thesis research proposal on digital leadership. As part of my personal fitness journey, I learned boxing and successfully participated in my inaugural ring fight. Also did some freelance consulting engagements and contributed as a mentor to over 10 startups, offering guidance on various aspects including business strategies, technology implementations, and go-to-market approaches, etc.

In this role reporting to the CDIO, I was part of the executive leadership team and was accountable for the end-to-end architecture, technology strategy, technology transformation, and digital service operations. In partnership with the CDIO, I worked closely with IndiGo's Board, CEO, and the business executive team to develop, evangelize, and embed IndiGo's digital strategy, architecture, and projects portfolio. I shaped the architecture function from 0 to 1, took leadership on and guided the teams on several tricky business and technology topics, ran an excellent Portfolio Review Board, shaped Innovation/AI factories, led a successful cloud migration, and shaped the journey towards a 'zero-touch' infrastructure engineering and operations.Developed a community-based architecture practice and co-created the target architecture framework, technology standards, reference architecture/guard rails, architecture for transformation of web/mobile platform, enterprise integration/orchestration platform, enterprise data hub/lake, airline ecommerce platform, etc. Inspired the architecture community of passion to implement API led, event-driven microservices architecture leveraging open-source technology stack.Established and led AI factory to scale AI/ML initiatives at IndiGo and to reimagine and transform IndiGo's business operating model and end to end business processes with AI at its center. Also identified and prioritized AI use cases across IndiGo and created an AI roadmap for guiding AI initiatives. Led delivery of multiple business outcomes using traditional AI/ML and generative AI technologies.Provided executive leadership to Cloud/Platform Engineering, Cyber Security, and Digital Service Operations teams. Led the infrastructure transformation into a self-service model by driving concepts such as Infrastructure as a Service, Integration as a Service, DevOps as a Service, Network as a Service, etc. into the infrastructure operating model, mindset, and culture.

I was responsible for co-creating and evangelising the architecture strategy, reference architecture, principles and technology standards for the cloud application development platform which can be used by the platform engineers to quickly develop and deploy business applications by consuming self service infrastructure components from an infinitely scalable multi-cloud infrastructure platform with high availability, reliability and security.

I worked with senior business leaders and engineering teams to develop and implement the strategy and architecture for digital transformation of Maersk to enable its vision to become a global integrator of container logistics. It primarily involves managing chaos and orchestration of strategic choices/decisions around enterprise products/platforms required for transforming the legacy IT landscape into a modern hybrid landscape of digital platforms. Was responsible for co-creating and evangelising the technology strategy, reference architecture, architecture principles, standards, CRM strategy, customer engagement reference architecture, etc.

As the Lead Business Architect, I established and led a high performing business architecture team in GSC. Coached, mentored, inspired and led the team to develop high quality customer outcome focused business architecture artifacts. Worked with newly hired Global Head of Enterprise Architecture to establish the Global Enterprise Architecture team and successfully transitioned the GSC business architecture team to the new Global EA team.

As the Group Enterprise Architect, I have worked with the group leadership team to translate group's business strategy into pragmatic enterprise architecture, technology strategy and roadmaps. Was responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining and monitoring group's enterprise architecture and associated policies, standards, procedures, information delivery model and governance processes.
