I design next-generation Threat-Defense systems from the ground up in Java using Agile development methods. Our systems anonymize and upload customer network traffic data to Cisco’s cloud for security analysis, anomaly detection, and intervention. My previous work includes designing back end systems for next-generation Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) from the ground up in Python.

Post-Silicon Power ValidationI tested potential Intel Atom Chipset designs, focusing on power consumption and heat distribution validation through scenario and torture tests. I also installed testing equipment and added automation functionality to several test suites. Additionally, I worked on getting Android and Meego OS builds running on Atom chipsets.

Center for Teaching and Learning I designed Flash animations, websites, and other teaching aides for five different colleges at UT. Among these aides was an extensive student survey module written for Drupal, an open-source content management system.

Edge and Aggregation Routing Test Business Unit I scripted several CLI and Web interface tools for testing and management. Example tools include statistical displays of router performance for potential customers and management tools for monitoring open and closed defects. I also set up a Viking Router test bed consisting of two ASR 9000 routers and an IXIA traffic generator.
