Täby

I was one of the initiators to start up a creative community for young people in Täby, which came to be a forum in connection with the youth center under the auspices of Ung Teater in Täby. In my position as creative leader, I held workshops 1-2 evenings a week with the aim of inspiring young people to creative work where there was the opportunity to sew, create textile prints, pins, paint, draw etc. with access to materials and guidance.

During my internship in scenography, costume and props at Vår Teater Medis and Högalid, I was given the opportunity to work in projects with the children and youth groups, which later led to me being offered a substitute as a theater teacher in charge of theater groups with children and young people in the ages. 6-16 years. The work included planning and directing theater activities in accordance with the program of Kulturskolan Stockholm and methodology of Vår Teater, which means that the student's own creation and expression are in focus. For the younger children, the starting point was free creation in playful theater exercises. For the older children, stage production, improvisation and rehearsals of plays were completed, with performances in front of audience where students were given the opportunity to create scenography, props and costume together.
