The COVID-19 Task Force for Testing, screening, and contact tracing aimed to slow the spread by helping provide access to rapid tests. During my time, I helped small businesses access rapid tests by supporting the enablement of three channels including pharmacies, Chambers of Commerce, and the Canadian Red Cross channels. In this role, I also helped prepare materials and communications for the Industry Advisory Roundtable to support their ability to make recommendations to the government on workplace testing.

We're currently exploring topic areas including increasing employee ownership and small business revitalization.- Analyzed over 300 small business programs and interviewed over 40 to gain an understanding of the small business support ecosystem.- Contributed to due diligence on employee ownership financing by preparing industry and financial analysis. - Supported in the launch of our public policy initiative in Canada.

An initiative that aimed to bring attention to issues faced by independent small businesses across Canada suffering as a result of COVID-19. Over 38,433 independent small businesses across Canada signed up and shared their story. The group advocated for a larger wage subsidy, help with fixed expenses like rent, and no-interest deferrals of debt payments.I had the privilege of hearing stories from small business owners, working with them to make their stories heard, and identifying common experiences to share with the broader team.

• Brought on to assist in the analysis of data on 21 thousand program participants of the TANF job readiness welfare program in Puerto Rico. • Coordinated with the research team in Puerto Rico to conduct quality checks of 60 transcriptions with program participants and staff. • Initiated a comparative research project on TANF data management systems and found 3 low-cost solutions for the agency administering TANF, to improve tracking and data management. • Coded 320 municipal audit reports, documenting financial processes and potential financial mismanagement and corruption at the municipal level.
