Mechanical design engineer for Electric Power Steering and I am responsible for• Designing components ,Sub-assembly and assembly based on the projectrequirement.• Creating 3D models & manufacturing drawings using PTC Creo byimplementing required GD&T & design standards.• Drafting the system level assembly drawing and vehicle level installationdrawing for Electric power steering system.• Analyzing and implementing the cost saving ideas.• Preparing SOR for various components which are procured from suppliers.• Performing design calculations to verify the design at early stage.• Performing 2D & 3D Tolerance analysis at assembly level.• Creating and maintaining new BOM's for customer project samples in OracleAxalant PLM.• Creating and maintaining the CAD data in Windchill PDMLink.• Providing product and Tool trainings for junior engineers.• Handling ECR/ECO to implement changes in BOM & Design documents.Having more than 5 years of experience in• Mechanical Design with a focus on injection molding, extrusion, die castingand sheet metal enclosures• Parametric modeling and drafting in PTC Creo.• Overseeing a three-member design group, providing design direction onproduct, parts and components used in Electric power steering system.• Modeling and drafting of complex castings, machined parts and assemblies.Having Good knowledge in• Pressure Die casting part design• Plastic part design• 2D Tolerance analysis• 3D Tolerance analysis - Intermediate level• DFM & DFA• 8D - CAR, DFMEA & DRBFM
