Gaining extensive experience managing several businesses since graduating from university, I have an eye for detail and an understanding of what it takes to run a business smoothly and effectively.My perspective is shaped by my experience working across business, civil society and local government. This experience has given me clear understanding of the tensions that exist between the three sectors and the importance of collaboration in dealing with the major social, economic and environmental challenges.Growing up in Kenya, South Africa and Tanzania, I was exposed to extreme poverty from an early age. Witnessing the destruction of beautiful and vital natural habitats, I am acutely aware of the complexity that exists between economic development and environmental stewardship.
