As Principal Engineer I support engineers, architects, owners, and contractors as their electrical professional on industrial and commercial projects. From budgeting and proposal preparation through design and construction, I ensure project objectives are met and budgets are maintained.On the New Boston Air Force Station Sitewide Fiber Optic Upgrade project I designed a sitewide Fiber Optic Network to interconnect Fire Alarm Systems within 15 buildings on site. Working with a contractor to investigate I was able to install new cabling through the existing underground ductbank and manhole network.

Seabrook, New Hampshire

As Director of Engineering, I supported industrial and commercial Design+Build projects from the proposal stage through construction and closeout with cost estimating, preparation of construction drawings and specifications, reviews with the owner, construction administration, testing, and owner trainings. Working with the Navy and electrical contractor on multiple rehabilitation projects at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard I was able to maximize functionality and efficiency of their facilities, while working within the constraints of the contractor’s budget. At the Building 174 Rehabilitation project this included design of a 160,000sq-ft energy efficient lighting and controls system that included occupancy and vacancy sensing, daylight harvesting, and automated building controls. Building 174 went on to achieve LEED silver certification.

Cambridge, Massachusetts

As an Electrical Engineer I designed medium and low voltage power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and other miscellaneous electrical systems for water, wastewater, manufacturing, and infrastructure projects. On the New Rochelle Wastewater Treatment Plant I was responsible for design of the 13.2kV main and emergency switchgear, emergency generator, and paralleling controls designs within the first phase of upgrades. This project went on to win the 2016 PEC Project of the Year Award.

Augusta, Maine

As a Protection and Controls Engineer I worked on protective relaying designs for 115kV substation expansion projects on the Maguire Road and Remote Sites and Mussey Road Substation projects for Central Maine Power. I prepared site applications for the Public Utilities Commission, updated and backchecked construction drawings, performed inspections of relay cabinets prior to installation, and assisted senior level engineers with oversight of construction and site reviews.
