I have started my work career in the laboratory (Haematology) in January of 1988.I was appointed to manage the few couriers (9) at the end of 1988 partly due to my language skills.I have completed various courses in labour relations, and management from then on. I have also completed the Transportation management diploma in 2002. As the company I worked for grew so did my responsibilities. I was regional transport manager for the company up to 2004, managing 76 couriers.In 2004 was appointed National Fleet Manager for Ampath. a position I still occupy to date.I have been working all my years with minimum supervision or instruction as the skills needed for the job fell outside the scope of the industry I work in. I am continuously creating accurate statistics and data of our fleet to compare to the industry and suppliers of Fleet management services to ensure our fleet cost are below that of the market or competitors.I possess high analytical skills and are very serious about accurate data and cost savings.
