BIW STRUCTURE PRODUCT DESIGN ▪ Experience in BIW structure product design (Aluminum & Steel Material) ▪ Working Experience on BIW Upper body (Top Hat), Underbody, Roof, Tailgate structure design ▪ Creates Master Sections with the help of styling input & Vehicle Architecture Input ▪ Design & Developments of Parts by understanding the functional requirements & Regulatory requirements and Energy path (Load Path) requirements ▪ Effective knowledge of Material selection to achieve the desired cost & Weight Targets ▪ Good Knowledge of BIW joining process for Aluminum and Steel e.g. Self Piercing Rivets (SPR), RSW▪ Decide Joining process of BIW panels with understanding the 2T, 3T Stack up requirement with the help of family tree▪ Create BIW Panels with considering the Design Rules/ Parameters/Standards ▪ Generate 3D annotation on Part with considering GD & T data ▪ Generate/Modify structural panels by considering the stamping requirements /CAE Requirements/ NVH Requirements/ DVP Targets ▪ Design of BIW Parts with Considering the interface requirements like BIW Mechanism, Interior & Exterior Trims, Wire Harness. ▪ Knowledge of Product development processes like DFMEA, DFM, DFA & DVP Targets ▪ Good Understanding of BIW Assembly Sequence/Levels (Family Tree) ▪ Experience in various sheet metal component (A Class, B Class & C Class) design of vehicle ▪ Good knowledge & Experience in NVH application areas and its material (Melt Sheet, Stiffener pad, Butyl pad, NVH Baffle, NVH Expandable strips) ▪ Knowledge in Sealant application and its material (Paint shop sealer, Structural Adhesive, Spot weld Sealer, Hemming Sealer) ▪ Experience in Engineering analysis of Prototype Build concern, Validation concern to find out the RCA & PCA with the help of 8D documentation
