As the High School Principal, I am the professional educator who is responsible for the overall operation of an high school. This includes managing the school's budget, overseeing the curriculum and instruction, ensuring the safety and well-being of the students and staff, and creating a positive and productive learning environment. High School Principals are also responsible for the hiring and supervision of the school's staff, including teachers, counselors, and support staff. They are also responsible for creating and enforcing policies and procedures that align with the school's mission, vision, and goals.

Taught 9-12 grade students in the following subjects: Health, Geography, United States History, World History, Government, Economics, English 9, and Math 9/10. Was the 9th grade Case Manager; responsible for assessing, writing Individualized Education Plan, and communicate with fellow colleagues to ensure our students received their services, accommodation, and modifications to ensure optimal learning within the classroom environment.SDC Department Chair Ridgecrest, CADuties as a department chair in Special Education differ from that of a general education department. August 2017-Present I give mater schedule proposals to the administrative team. I work closely with all four counselors to develop all SDC students’ schedules from incoming Freshman to the Seniors. I have development and maintained an IEP schedule for all the teachers in the SDC Department. I have built or overseen the development of pacing guides, scope and sequence, and curriculum for all History, ELA, and Science disciplines. I am a mentor to our new teachers who need guidance with classroom management, Curriculum, assessment, behavior, and IEP paperwork. I developed our departments PBIS system and implement it each year with the Burroughs team. I help with conflicts/issues amongst members of the department and students.

I have taught the entire gamete when it comes to teaching Social Studies in both Junior and High School standards, which is 7th through 12th years. I taught at Ridgeview High School for two years. In those two years I gained the knowledge and responsibilities of being a teacher and was able to improve my craft. I had taught World and United States History, I was the junior class advisor, and was the fresh/soph girls’ basketball coach.
