In 2006, over and above the responsibilities as Head of Surveillance, was designated as Head of Global Business to, inter-alia, liaise with licensees, the Ministry of Finance, the Bank of Mauritius (the regulator for banking activities), the tax authorities and other relevant bodies on Global Business matters and to act as the focal point for the sector, ensuring quality of services, proper coordination and dissemination of technical and policy-driven information. A two year contract to design a Master Plan for the setting up of an Employment Monitoring Scheme. Was assigned the responsibility of the financial services sector within the plan. The assignment was completed as agreed and submitted on time.
