Occupational Therapist Inpatient Acute Rehab (Per Diem)

-Provided direct patient treatment under the supervision of the Senior Occupational Therapist in the Acute Outpatient Rehabilitation and Acute Rehabilitation services.-Worked with adult patients with a range of diagnoses, including CVAs and neuromuscular and neurodegenerative diseases, orthopedic treatments, traumatic brain injuries, cancer recovery, and spinal cord injuries. -Facilitated diverse modalities, including neuromuscular re-education, LSVT big/high-intensity movements, therapeutic exercise, motor learning and motor control, biomechanical, cognitive behavioral, and sensory.-Oversaw inpatient and outpatient caseload, treatment documentation, evaluations, progress reports, and discharge planning.

-Evaluated clients to establish the best treatment of care using clinical observation, task analysis, Sensory Processing Measures, and various standardized tests, including Bayley, BOT-2, Peabody, and Beery. -Outpatient pediatrics with a caseload of 5-6 clients a day, utilizing Ayre's Sensory Integration to lead screening, assessments, treatment plans, interventions, and documentation.-Work with individuals ages 1-15 with a variety of developmental challenges. These include Cerebral Palsy, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD/ADD, coordination disorders, sensory differences, and behavioral interventions for areas like social skills, self-regulation, and fine or gross motor skills.

-Observed and assisted in the evaluation and treatment of patients with various diagnoses, including orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and other acute conditions, and identified current level of function to establish appropriate goals and discharging planning in collaboration with the patient to create/modify individualized treatment-Observed and assisted in providing training and education to family members, caregivers, and patients regarding safety during ADL/IADL tasks, energy conservation, precautions, home exercise program, and home safety recommendationsCollaborated with other healthcare providers in a hospital setting,

-Pediatrics: observed 4-7 clients daily during OT screenings and evaluations, interventions, and documentation, and utilized sensory, fine, and gross motor skills-Utilized Ayres Sensory Integration with children of multiple diagnoses, including ASD,global developmental disorder, sensory processing disorders, and cerebral palsy.

-Supported practice with scheduling evaluations, parent education, and individual and group sessions.-Assisted occupational therapists in group sessions focused on regulation, motor planning, psychosocial, and praxis.-Organized therapeutic tools, sanitized therapy areas, and assisted in curriculum building for camps and group sessions.-Focus on sensory intergration.
