About Sarina Duran

"If someone offers you an amazing opportunity and you're not sure you can do it, say yes - then learn how to do it later." - Richard Branson.I am a strategic and solutions driven IT project manager with specialist skills and knowledge in cloud project implementation within hotel/restaurant management operations. Currently I am broadening my skills by taking on a Project Manager role in ICT for NSW SES.I am a strong communicator with proven success in achieving positive project outcomes through effective customer relationship management. Below I have highlighted some of the expertise that I possess:- A motivating leader, capable of providing clear direction to teams and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. - Strong knowledge and proven experience utilising enterprise project management tools. - Proven ability in successfully implementing and executing projects and making critical decisions during challenges. - Excellent analytical skills with the ability to think through complex issues and apply structured problem solving techniques. - Proven ability working to tight deadlines and embracing ambiguity, in fast-paced environments. The above came about over time and with persistence within my field of work. My first opportunity was a Hospitality Trainee-ship through Rydges Hotels in the Food & Beverage department. I accepted the opportunity with both hands. This soon taught me how to work long hours, commit to a team and provide great customer service. Not long after another opportunity came but this time I was the one seeking it. A role in the Front Office Department as a Night Auditor. I was rejected 2 times for the position due to no experience but i knew i could do it and on the 3rd application for the same role my General Manager gave me a chance and its safe to say he didn't regret it. Since then I have progressed into passing on my knowledge in the Hospitality Industry as an Implementation Consultant, Sales Account Manager, Project Coordinator and Project Manager which gave me experiences training students overseas; Vietnam, New Caledonia and for many large organizations such as Accor Hotels, Marriott Hotels and Starwood Hotels.
