Program Director of The Accentuate the Positive workshops in Los Angeles. Since 2003, I've created curriculum and implemented lyric-writing programs around the country (New York, New Orleans, Detroit, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Los Angeles) for grades 3-6. Here students are exposed to the great American Songbook, while given the opportunity for self-expression through lyric-writing. There is a DVD Training guide available for educators. More recently, I've started conducting teacher trainings around the country so that other music educators can bring the ATP program into their classrooms. Most recently, I have partnered with the Braille Institute creating songs with the OC and LA Johnny Mercer choirs.

Los Angeles

Created a lyric-writing program (previously known as FREE STYLE commissioned by Reprise Theatre Co and Jason Alexander) now running at Skylight Theatre Company. This program goes into underserved schools and probation camps teaching a lyric-writing program. We select 15 students to pair with ASCAP composers who write music to their lyrics. All students become members of ASCAP. Their songs and stories are celebrated in a performance as a culmination of the yearly program.
