Sarita D. Jackson, Ph.D. is the President and CEO of the Global Research Institute of International Trade, a Californian think-tank and consulting firm. GRIIT analyzes the impact of U.S. and global trade policies on communities in countries around the world and spreads awareness of these findings through publications, seminars, and workshops. Additionally, GRIIT’s research is used to provide food manufacturing, agricultural, and services-based companies with the techniques to export competitively. Dr. Jackson has previously worked on overseas projects funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Fulbright Scholar/Lecture Award. She is also a published author and teaches courses on international trade, international business management, and business in Latin America at UCLA Extension. She conducts her work in English and Spanish. Dr. Jackson earned a Bachelor’s degree in journalism and Spanish at the University of Southern California and a Master’s and Doctorate in political science at Brown University.
