As an Elections Technician/Digital Services, I play a critical role in ensuring that the voting process is accessible, efficient, and engaging for everyone in Alameda County. My responsibilities include:Developing new ideas to make the voting process more accessible and efficient for all voters, regardless of their backgrounds or abilities.Preparing and creating presentations for the Registrar of Voters to be presented at Board of Supervisors meetings and to the public, highlighting key initiatives and progress in our efforts to improve the voting experience.Monitoring ACVOTE social media platforms and creating engaging content across popular social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to increase engagement and voter education.Creating marketing campaigns spanning across Alameda County, targeting areas with low voter turnout, through traditional billboards, digital billboards, newspapers, buses, trains, and other print media to increase voter participation.Establishing relationships with vendors to execute these marketing campaigns and ensure their success.Staying up-to-date with trends in marketing and using this knowledge to create effective social media strategies that reach and engage our target audience.Serving as a content creator for acvote.org, the official election website for Alameda County, and ensuring that the website meets WCAG 2.1, Level AA conformance for website accessibility.Attending training for website accessibility and using this knowledge to make improvements to the website and ensure that all voters can easily access the information they need to participate in the democratic process.Through my work, I am able to make a meaningful impact on the voting process in Alameda County, working to make it more accessible, efficient, and engaging for all voters.
