Connecting Atlanta Autism Communities: Doing Together What No One Organization Can Do On Its OwnThe Atlanta Autism Consortium, Inc. (AAC) is a Georgia Non-Profit, tax-exempt, Corporation under Section 501 (c) (3) of the internal Revenue Code. The AAC brings the spectrum of perspectives and interests concerning autism together in a safe and constructive environment. We aim to foster better understanding and cultivate multifaceted collaborations among the wide variety of autism community stakeholders in the greater Atlanta area, including researchers, clinicians, educators, advocates, families and individuals with autism.The whole of Atlanta’s autism efforts is greater than the sum of its constituent parts, thanks to the efforts of the AAC.

As the National Director of Sales, Sarah Jackson led the new contract sales for CentralReach. CentralReach is the industry leading single-source software platform for clinicians, educators and therapists. Trusted by over 40,000 users, CentralReach empowers clinicians with a HIPAA compliant software solution that manages every aspect of their business from billing and scheduling to clinical data collection and therapy documentation for ABA practices. The CentralReach provided an ideal opportunity for Sarah to combine her 15+ years of sales and marketing experience with her passion as disability advocate and Mother of 3 young boys on the Autism Spectrum. Always an advocate first, Sarah's dedication led her to CentralReach where selling is much more than hitting a number, but knowing that each clinician that joins the CentralReach family is making a difference. This position encompassed the formulation and execution of sales strategies to drive sales of industry leading clinical SaaS software solutions throughout North America for CentralReach. Sarah oversaw all aspects of sales organization, sales training, lead generation and strategic marketing initiatives. Led a team of SDRs and Account Executives, monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), recruiting and training staff, and managing team performance to exceed sales objectives.

Sarah Jackson founded PlayPointe in 2014. Sarah is a Single Mother, entrepreneur and disability advocate with three little boys on the Autism Spectrum. Through her journey and education on Autism and Developmental disabilities, she recognized the need for strong, reasonable education tools for families. In addition, she recognizes that children, whether typically developing or with Special Needs, all learn and play differently. The 2015 program, run in conjunction with Atlanta Technology Angels, targets women who are launching a business or women who want to take their business to the next level and equips them with the skills to become the next generation of successful business leaders. LaunchPad2X™ brings lessons of leadership and business from Fortune 1000, private companies, academia, the US Military and professional service firms to women entrepreneurs. It offers participants the opportunity to expand their expertise in business strategy, funding, networking and leadership in order to be a successful entrepreneurial leader. In our entrepreneurial-centered approach, we provide classroom training coupled with participant-specific coaching.Each entrepreneur develops her business strategy or investment plan for their start-up or re-launch. Paired with experienced business, leadership and financial coaches, the participants learn the techniques of networking, presenting to investors and empowering themselves for success and apply those skills and traits to create powerful presentations.

I serve as the Secretary and on the Executive Committee for the Autism Society of Georgia. My role is to support the organizations efforts in creating, developing and coordinating programs that support communities, families and individuals with Autism. Our main focus is the implementation of the Autism Plan for Georgia in cooperation with the Center of Leadership and Disability at Georgia State University.

LEND Fellow – Georgia State University Center of Leadership and Disability (2013-2014) • Completed more than 300 hours as an interdisciplinary trainee. • Demonstrated a commitment to improving services and supports. • Pioneered interdisciplinary, inclusive, and integrated systems of care to: - Provide links between scientific discovery and practice. - Foster person-centered and family centered care. - Develop new service models and approaches to care. - Collaborate with Federal, State and Local agencies. - Conduct research to affect positive public policy, on behalf of children with disabilities and their families.Through the LEND Fellowship I am learning about the Systems of Care relating to all disabilities. LEND provides expert speakers, self advocates and initiative leaders to the trainees. Each LEND Fellow leaves the program with a comprehensive understanding of not just what disability is but how to care for the families and communities who support those of disability. With that, each individual has goals within the program. My LEND goals for this year focus on Autism diagnosis and resources, as well as, technologies impact on Autism and developmental disabilities.
