My name is Pankaj Sarkar, currently working as Project Engineer (Civil) in Coal India Limited, India. Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, my Alma Mater, is one of the premier institutes of India. I have completed my under-graduation in August 2017 with B.Tech (Honours) in Civil Engineering.I have a deep interest in areas related to traffic engineering, wastewater treatment, and application of deep learning in civil engineering. In a short span of four years of my undergraduate studies, I have undergone many relevant courses, research projects & industrial training.Presently, I am working in a corporate setting as a Civil Engineer in Coal India Limited, which powers 72% of total electricity in India. I am primarily responsible for the construction and maintenance of infrastructures in coal mines. I am maintaining a 16 KM railway track and coordinating a team of 50+ workers and contractors with INR 15 million budget for the smooth operation of rail freight for dispatching coal. Also, I am monitoring various pollution controlling activities such as the treatment of effluents from coal washing plants, dust suppression sprinklers, land reclamation and restoration by plantation.
