Worked with internal partner teams and external partner companies, including game developers, to help create the best possible online environment for Xbox Live users, handling escalations and requests requiring proficiency with SQL database querying, investigative ability, and insight into customer behavior, activity, and information.Analyzed purchasing behavior with the goal of detecting and preventing fraud (such as ATO, use of fraudulent/stolen payment instruments, and phishing schemes), by using in-house tooling as well as querying SQL and Cosmos databases for information, and built cases with concrete evidence based on analysis to be used by other teams.Created and maintained a suite of queries and processes used to automate data collection, handling, and generate weekly reports, saving hours of manual work each week before the task was automated. Queries and processes were used to detect activity deemed harmful to the business, and to allow team members to take preventative measures quickly and efficiently.
