In the past two years, I helped compose and advocate for the passage of House Bill 1834 in Washington state, allowing mental health excused absences for high school students in the state of Washington. Additionally, I have been employed as a freelancer by "A Mindful State", a campaign for WA state on community wellbeing and youth mental health advocacy. I continue to pursue opportunities and work relating to this field, including my current involvement on the implementation team for HB 1834. Lastly, I am a recurring intern at Mangata Incorporated, a nonprofit organization providing free mental health care to underserved communities. With that being said, these unique experiences and opportunities I have been able to take part-in contribute to my passion of learning, growing and reflecting for my future endeavors and working towards mental health care equity and eliminating the stigma around mental health.I am a student at Dartmouth College where I plan to study Neuroscience and Computer Science and minor in Public Policy. On campus, I enjoy working in the Empower and Jacobson Lab, focusing on the intersection of technology and mental illness. I also enjoy dancing with RAAZ, Dartmouth's South Asian Dance Team, and playing bassoon in the Wind Ensemble!
