Project CoordinatorUpm Mar 2015 - May 2016Shanghai City, ChinaUPM Biofore Awards was a design competition organized together by UPM and Tongji University. The competition was targeted for Chinese university students and the aim was to design a sustainable communication symbol especially for UPM's Asian markets. Moreover, the participants were informed to use mostly UPM's biomaterials in the design process.My title in this project was project coordinator. I was involved in various stages starting from the very first meetings all the way to the final publication of the results. I started the preparation work in Finland and later on traveled to Shangahai to set up the headquarters for the competition and help with the kickoff procedures. I also made sure, that the communication between Finland and China is active and supervised practical steps taken care by our Chinese partners.Later on, when the team was chosen and design developed, I guided the main designer during his excursion to Finland. During the very last stage, held in Beijing, China, I supervised the actual build part and took care of the communication between our teams stakeholders and organisers of Moi Helsinki event, where the results were published. -
