Taught grade seven to nine on a daily basis.I formulated my own class structure and lesson plans which other teachers later adopted. 8th Grade - I followed the Government’s curriculum strictly and ensured all learning objectives where met in every class as the final exams are still regulated by the government – this meant understanding exactly the expectations being set to the school and the intended learning outcomes.I taught in mostly in English (UK) and through my experience I have learnt the many differences in spoken and written English between the USA and UK.I attended Teacher’s Training regularly with teachers from the UK – I then reciprocated these teachings to local staff and teachers across the whole of Pohkara.

Role:Taught grade five and six. Grade five – I started with the basics as this was many of their first time using a computer properly.Grade six – I started to teach them some more advanced functionality of computers.I was mostly taught them about how to correctly use; Ms-Excel, Ms-Word, Ms-PowerPoint, based on XP, Vista and Windows 7. I also taught them how to use internet safely, and the many dangers found on the internet. As the IT teacher I was responsible for the whole computer laboratory and its maintenance.Additional:In and out of my career as a Teacher I have taught and helped to create secure e-mail addresses with secure hosts and went the extra mile to understand and show many people how to construct a professional e-mail.

Role:As a Hostel Warden, I was first up as I had to wake up all the students in the morning at 5:30am ready for classes and duties.At 6.30am I was responsible for escorting all the students through the city centre to and from either their physical education or karate classes – depending on the schedule I created.Between classes I ensured that the students and other staff members completed their daily duties which encompassed; Recycling, Kitchen Cleaning and Cooking, General Grounds Maintenance and Dormitory Tidiness. By 10:00pm I ensured that every student had completed their duties and homework successfully and where in bed – lights off at 10.30pmAdditional:Rather than being just a warden in a name, I was responsible for the 64 student’s safety and security, cleanliness and hygiene and all other homely responsibilities any student living at home would naturally receive from parents.I locked up the main entry gate, the classrooms, the offices, and the staff room and was always the last to go to bed.

Role:Cash management and book keeping.Waiting tables and serving drinksResolved customer problems and mitigated dissatisfaction issues.
