As a Scientist/Entrepreneur, I aspire to contribute in a meaningful way, to the well-being of those who experience mental health problems. I view mental health on a continuum, across the life span starting from the important pre-natal experience. For me, our inter-connections to the environment and community are paramount! Shaped by lived experience, my research at the Douglas Research Institute focused on the role of genetic factors in ADHD, schizophrenia and psychosis. I examined the intersection of genes and environment, in how it affects clinical presentation, behavior, cognition and response to treatment. Shifting gears from academia, it's been an exciting journey to combine this domain expertise with that of my co-founders in our venture - AIMH (Artificial Intelligence for Mental Health)!
