As a Research Associate at the BC Lung Foundation (formerly called the British Columbia Lung Association) I collaborated with the Program Director to support a project which investigated the energy efficiency system in Canada and the link to household radon exposure. In this role, I supported with the following activities: - Virtually recruited and conducted 8 interviews with certified energy advisors in BC and Ontario- Conducted thematic analysis of all interview transcripts - Developed an 8-page final report on the findings of radon mitigation practices energy advisors implement and gaps in the system

During my co-op semester with Simon Fraser University, I had the opportunity to join the Research for Ecosocial and Equitable Transformation (RESET) team. Here I worked on an original project which investigated the double burden of COVID-19 and Climate Change among marginalized Indigenous communities.In this role I provided the following supports: - Conducted a literature review and qualitative data analysis using NVivo- Created an original theoretical model outlining the intersections of COVID-19 and Climate Change and its impacts on health inequities among Indigenous Communities -Revised a Full Behavioural Research Ethics Board Application

As a research assistant at the Centre for Clinical Epidemiology and Evaluation, I supported the validation stage of a Health Literacy clinical measurement tool for Asthma and COPD patients. In my role, I was responsible for the following: - Supervised and guided 6 research volunteers on study procedures - Presented research findings at the Canadian Respiratory Research Network Conference - Conducted 200+ patient interviews and facilitated a focus group within a 4-month period - Analyzed focus group transcripts to identify themes for smoking cessation program components- Actively participated on the publishing team by summarizing key findings, provided suggestions to reviewer comments and made recommendations to manuscripts

This research study focused on the health outcomes of youth transitioning between grade 7 to grade 8. I was responsible for the following: - Assisted with data collection of study participants - Supervised research participants during the data collection period
