As Dr. Sarphan Uzunoğlu, I have a deep expertise in the world of media and communication. In my academic and professional career, I have lectured, conducted projects and consulted on a wide range of topics including journalism, social media, public relations, big data, media ethics and media management. As the founder and executive director of NewsLabTurkey, I have developed innovative media projects and training programs, and I am also a part-time faculty member at Bilgi University and Ankara Bilim University.My PhD in Media and Communication Studies from Galatasaray University focuses on job insecurity in Turkey's journalism industry and the technological, political and financial factors that influence this process. In this academic journey, my knowledge, strengthened by my master's degree in New Media from Kadir Has University, has made significant contributions to the social impact of media and new media technologies.In my professional career, I work as a media consultant at the European Foundation for Democracy and as an external evaluator at the International Verification Network. Previously, I worked as an assistant professor in the Multimedia Journalism department at the Lebanese American University, as an associate professor in the language and culture department at UiT Norwegian Arctic University, and as a senior lecturer in the new media, public affairs and information departments at Kadir Has University.I have been involved in many projects in the field of journalism and media and have been the founder of platforms such as Journo.com.tr and TGS Akademi. I worked as a political communication advisor at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and as an editor and copyright coordinator at Agora Publishing. These experiences have enabled me to gain an in-depth understanding of the various roles and responsibilities in the media world.My work in research and teaching aims to develop innovative approaches in the world of media and communication. I have written several academic articles and book chapters on topics such as new media, polarization, precarious workforce and digital security. I have also organized training programs on topics such as sustainable financial models in the media sector and digital campaign management.My areas of expertise include new media technologies, media management, artificial intelligence, political communication, digital security and data journalism. With the extensive experience and knowledge I have gained in my career, I am ready to seize new opportunities in the world of media and communication.
