I am an inter- and trans-disciplinary researcher in the field of Land and Water Management, driven by assessing climate change impacts on people's welfare and aiding vulnerable populations in adapting and becoming more resilient to climate change. My work focuses on sustainable transitions and environmental conservation in regions where human activities and climate change intersect. This commitment has led me to roles where I can help shape effective policies, particularly in areas significantly affected by these combined pressures. To achieve this, I combine quantitative and qualitative approaches—empowering local populations with decision-making tools and supporting policy-makers with evidence-based policies. Practical examples of my work include developing drought impact indicators for multi-level decision-makers and creating methodologies for participation and collaboration among diverse stakeholders to address soil erosion.I have a strong aptitude for conceptual and systems thinking, breaking down broad social theories and applying them to local contexts with a practical, physical aspect. This is because I believe that robust methods must be supported by a solid theoretical framework and that theories, rather than remaining conceptual, should also yield tangible outcomes.Recently, I obtained my PhD from Wageningen University, complemented by ten years of practical and international experience in natural resources management, participatory research, and designing evidence-based tools for decision-makers across MENA, Brazil, and France.Beyond my technical skills, I excel in interpersonal and communication abilities, working effectively in multicultural environments and building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders. I am fluent in English, French, Arabic, and Portuguese, which facilitates my international collaborations.

The aim was to analyse the technical and regulatory feasibility of deploying constructed wetlands to improve the water quality of the Champigny aquifer.Constructed wetlands (CWs) are designed to collect agricultural drainage waters loaded with pesticides and nutrients. They aim to mitigate the polluting flows before their discharge into the natural environment. The study was divided into two parts:Technical Part:- Analysis of the pesticide degradation capacity of a CW- Hydrological assessment to extrapolate findings from a pilot site to a larger scale- Identification of potential locations within a watershed for the establishment of CWsSocio-Institutional Part- Field surveys conducted with stakeholders at various levels of the agro-environmental sphere- Identification of the main territorial issues and analysis of different local and national policies related to non-point source agricultural pollution- Development of a dialogue tool to address non-point source agricultural pollution and the establishment of CWs, involving potentially concerned stakeholders in a multi-stakeholder process Show less -

This study was conducted in collaboration with the National Agronomic Institute of Tunisia and CIRAD within the framework of the ARENA project. The aim was to understand the dynamics of these areas and to analyse their impact on the socio-agro-environmental system. The initial step involved a diachronic reconstitution and analysis. This historical reconstitution was carried out using maps and bibliographic resources, allowing us to identify major and key events. It highlighted:- Various uses of water (surface water and groundwater resources)- Types of soils and land use planning practices- Landscaping and exploitation of different natural resourcesThe historical reconstitution and the perception of system vulnerability were further explored through surveys conducted with local stakeholders.
