As Controller with United State Educational Foundation Pakistan (USEFP), the bi national Fulbright Commission, I headed the financial, human resources, management systems, practices and procedures affairs of the Commission. The USEFP operations are funded by USAID and US Department of State having annual budget activity of US$30 million with Investment portfolio of around US$70 million.Notable Accomplishments As first appointed Controller of Finance and HR, structured and established the finance and HR departments. Within six months of appointment managed to complete three years pending audits by PwC and sought approval of the Board. Guided and supervised the designing by Delloitte Pakistan of accounting software, finance, procurement, human resources and administrative & security manuals and successfully achieved approval of State Department and the Board of Directors. Investigated all financial liabilities and commitments, reorganized the finances & controls having $35million annual budget and invested $70 million in bank accounts opened & maintained in USA.

I was employed as Head Corporate Affairs & Company Secretary by the Infrastructure Project Development Facility (IPDF), a not for profit Company incorporated under Companies Ordinance. Reporting to CEO, as Head Corporate Affairs, functions included that of Chief Financial Officer and also lead human resources, administration, procurement and IT support. As Company Secretary reporting to Chairman of the Board of Directors, I was accountable for all secretarial functions including compliance to applicable regulations. The company supervisory board was led by the Minister on Finance & Revenues and members included Federal Secretaries of Finance & Planning and private-sector nominees. Notable Accomplishments As CFO, Head HR/ Admin and Company Secretary successfully interfaced the Board of Directors, chaired by the Minister of Finance and Revenues and Federal Secretaries and Private Sector representatives as members of the Board.  In newly incorporated company authored and obtained approval of Board of Directors on procurement, HR, finance & accounting and administrative policies.

As Financial Consultant with the Directorate General of Petroleum Concessions (DGPC) the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources Islamabad, I had mandate to regulate and administer financial affairs arising out of Petroleum Concessions & Leases operated by national and multinational Oil and Gas Exploration and Production (E&P) companies in Pakistan. Notable Accomplishments Established and implemented royalty recovery, production bonus & other financial obligations guidelines on petroleum production by Exploration and Production (E&P) companies in Pakistan. Implemented the first ever royalty payment on Gas used in LPG production by the E&P Industry. This led to recovery of size-able arrears and future inflows of royalty to the government. Actively contributed in negotiations with foreign and national Oil & Gas Exploration and Production (E&P) Companies including other government & ministerial authorities. Member of the committee for the formulation of Petroleum Policy by Government of Pakistan.

During my eleven-year association with OMV (Pakistan), a subsidiary of largest Austrian multinational, one of the leading groups in Central and Eastern Europe, initiated exploration in province of Sind, Punjab and Baluchistan. In addition, several offshore and onshore exploration licenses were acquired and two major assets were developed in Pakistan. The working interests in these were owned by multinationals from UK, USA, Austria, Czech Republic, Italy and Pakistan.As Head of finance and administration my account-abilities were extended to supervision of finance & accounts, annual budgeting, administration, HR, government & public relations, participation in JV governing body, field liaison and social welfare in license & lease areas. Overall management of various administrative functions such as hiring offices & residential accommodation, maintenance thereof, transport, IT and various support services on all aspects of operations were also part of my assignment.Besides completing training in human resources at Cranfields School of Management U.K, I have successful track of record for managing human resources affairs of above European company for above ten years. I as well have directly supervised the legal affairs of the company including contract negotiations and coordination with country and parent company legal advisers.Notable Accomplishments As the only senior Pakistani member of large expatriate management team for over ten years, actively contributed and devised strategy to establish operations and relationships with Joint Venture partners & Government.  Successfully achieved the establishment of offices in Pakistan and recruitment of professionals during various phases of operations. During eleven year association, as only Pakistani member of large expatriate team headed finance, administration, HR, legal and government & public relations, effectively guided the company in achieving its successful business operations in Pakistan.
