As someone deeply committed to driving meaningful change, I’m fortunate to wear many hats: climate activist, environmental economics researcher, poet, and social entrepreneur. As the Executive Director of the Pourtous Foundation, I lead initiatives that prioritize inclusive sustainability, working to empower marginalized communities and tackle the socio-economic impacts of climate change. At Pourtous, our programs focus on building climate resilience and providing underserved communities with the tools and resources they need to pursue sustainable futures.In addition to my work at Pourtous, I serve as the Director of Business Development at GCA, a creative agency dedicated to bridging storytelling with sustainable practices based out of Silvassa and Pune. Here, I get to help brands connect with their audiences on issues that truly matter, creating campaigns that bring sustainability to the forefront. My focus is on integrating impactful strategies that inspire action and foster climate-consciousness across the corporate world.As an environmental economics researcher, I explore topics like sustainable development, organic farming, and the economic impacts of environmental degradation. My research is driven by the belief that we need practical, scalable solutions to address the complex environmental issues we face today, and I aim to make these ideas accessible to both public and academic audiences.Poetry has been my creative outlet to express my reflections on humanity’s connection with nature. My debut collection, Inside a Teenager’s Mind, reached thousands of readers. I’m also excited to release my upcoming book, No Poetry on a Dead Planet, which delves into the urgent need for climate action.Bringing together my experiences in nonprofit leadership, research, and creative expression gives me a holistic perspective on our journey toward a more sustainable future.
