Supported the enhancement of Luck Stone’s culture and brand as part of the company’s Training and Development Team. Responsibilities included leading a four-person team focused on the company’s long-term shift towards Values-Based Leadership. Our primary objective was to help 1,200 associates better align their personal passion with their job at Luck Stone and enhance their leadership through one-on-one coaching, training and education, meeting facilitation and ongoing communications.
As part of the HR/OD team, I provided support in the areas of internal communications, organization development and project management. Responsibilities included the management of Luck Stone’s internal communications function; participation on cross-functional project teams; providing assessment, facilitation and planning support; and working with managers on communications, technology, team development and strategic issues. Additionally, I supported the integration of Luck Values, working with Luck Stone’s Leadership Team, project teams and others to provide Values-Based Leadership training.
Worked directly with the company president and vice presidents to shape internal and strategic communications for the nation’s seventh largest aggregates producer. Responsibilities included supporting the company’s leadership in the development and introduction of a new companywide strategic plan; the production of an employee magazine and regular video communications; the development and implementation of regular financial, safety and other performance communications; the development and support of HR-related onsite training; the initial development of the company’s Internet and test Intranet sites; the creation of communications plans for recruitment, information systems and organizational development; and the periodic implementation of a companywide employee survey.
