• The main areas of my involvement were related to the following,
• Verification and validation of global ledger data at HQ level
• Management of the internal accounting within the IUCN Network - the Current Accounts with Regional & Country offices (RCOs), mainly validation of entries, management of current accounts and streamlining relevant.
• Reconciliation of all global internal income & expenditure accounts (unique to the IUCN's accounting process)
• Data analysis and reporting on the WASAA Trust in Nairobi, Kenya
• Was part of the Enterprise Resource Planning System implementation team at IUCN (worldwide deployment process)

• My responsibilities included,
• The overall accounting function and Payroll administration
• Management and operational reporting to senior management (in country) and regional office+HQ
• Cash management and treasury, first signatory for all disbursements
• Liaising with project teams as well as financial institutions and local auditors
• Receivables’ management, Grant/Project Information reporting to local & international donors

• Maintaining the General Ledger, oversee the overall accounting function

• General accounting, including data quality control of accounting information.
• Prepare reports and analyses for stakeholders, suppliers, resellers and international offices.
• Cash management and negotiating with financial institutions and fiscal/tax authorities.
• Design and implement improvements in information systems and processes to meet business needs.
• Support the sales team, monitor accounts receivable and trade balances and alert management when required.
