I also manage several bespoke projects, handle stakeholder expectations and organize regular team events.

After a successful acquisition of our geoanalytic tool Neera, Gyana pivoted to develop a no-code data science platform with the ambitious mission to democratize access to data science. From the beginning, I was heavily involved in the design and implementation of all data science features. That involved creating an intuitive frontend in React, implementing efficient data science pipelines in Python, and running continuous integration on different platforms. Later on, we changed to a more conventional Django stack using BigQuery as our compute engine. Besides the day-to-day feature development work, I lead Gyana's data science consultancy efforts among others for the Minority Businesses Matter report (https://www.minoritybusinessesmatter.org/).I also helped users on a regular basis building solutions and dashboards for their problems in our tool.

As a member of Gyana's data science team, I maintained our PostgreSQL database and developed several tools to automate and accelerate our geofencing capabilities (read about geofences here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geo-fence). These included:• An automated and reusable framework to scrape hundreds of brands in Python to keep our database up-to-date• An AI-based web tool build in React/Javascript to replace our current geofencing instruments• A neuronal network for smart geofence suggestionsWith these measures, we managed to increase our geofence output by over 2x in the first 5 months.
