DianaFEA is a company that develops the Diana application. This is a world-class product in the field of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) which can be used from a wide range of engineering sectors. The application deliver high-end nonlinear solutions focusing on concrete and its interaction with soil, to help our customers and partners solve advanced engineering challenges. I started at Diana as a senior software engineer GUI in a team of experienced software developers. My main focus was GUI development. Over time I extended my knowledge of the application and started working on other aspect. During this time I gained experienced with C++, Qt, VTK, Parasolid, CM2 mesher. After a company restructuring I got a more responsibilities. Currently I'm the lead developer of the frontend, but I also got the responsibility of the development, test and release environment.

In my quest to becoming a better software engineering, I've done lots of hands-on projects alongside following tutorials and presentations. As a contractor, I have been part of several projects within the Shell 'Dynamic Modelling' department, with the primary focus on frontend development of the reservoir simulator of Shell. This sophisticated application is a simulator for reservoir with scripting, pre- and post- processing capabilities. The pre-processing options allow data to be inputted by means of various widgets like spreadsheet, text editors, dialogues and graphical input. The display of the input data as well as the post-processing of all simulation results is made possible by variety of user-defined plots, tabular output and 3d visualization.Some of the projects I worked on- As a lead developer, in a compact team, we successfully build the 3D reservoir visualization module.- Implementation of seamless integration between the reservoir simulator and Microsoft Office applications.- Development of a new frontend tailored for junior reservoir engineers. - GUI refactoring to enhance the user friendliness of the reservoir application.- Build plugin framework for CMG-CoFlow product. This framework is used to add Shell proprietary functionality.

During this time I worked on a number of projects in the public sector.
